The project focuses on a 1.5 km stretch of the Ganga riverfront, from Collectorate Ghat to Baans Ghat, as part of the Area-Based Development (ABD) under the Smart City Mission. Over the past two decades, the river's course has shifted, creating large sand islands—an excellent example of a riparian wetland.

Our design for this area has three core objectives: to conserve the ecological significance of this unique riparian zone, to ensure seamless connectivity from the main road to the riverfront, and to create an elevated corridor that connects all ghats.

The design strategically integrates cultural elements, such as Madhubani-style entrances and a contemporary graffiti wall, with functional zones for community, education, and recreation. Features like the Wetland Trail and an elevated café can transform the space into a restorative and visually stimulating urban landscape.
