Our approach to the Beniabagh parking project in Varanasi was driven by the imperative to resolve extreme parking demand from tourists and pilgrims without sacrificing a critical 13.5-acre green space in the dense old city. The core design solution involved seamless integration: we constructed a 500 ECS subterranean parking facility and then treated the roof as a revitalized urban park podium. This functional layering allowed us to introduce tranquil landscape features—including a Miyawaki forest, meditation lawn, and central pond—unified by curved walking paths and circular lawns. Crucially, this integrated design provides essential infrastructure while establishing the park as a functional green buffer enhanced by amenities like a jogging track, food court, and skating rink.
