The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Charkhi Dadri, has launched a significant Water Supply Scheme aimed at modernizing the water infrastructure in the Minor Bokardan District, Bhiwani, Haryana. This initiative is a vital component of a broader urban planning effort to provide residents with reliable and equitable access to safe drinking water. The project's extensive scope includes detailed mapping of the existing water network—comprising pipelines, overhead tanks, and tube wells—and the installation of new pipelines using a variety of durable materials like CI/DI, AC, PVC, and HDPE. This comprehensive upgrade is designed to replace aging infrastructure, enhance water pressure, and ensure a more consistent water supply, particularly benefiting previously underserved areas.
The scheme is backed by a substantial financial commitment of ₹222 crore for new boosting stations and the refurbishment of water tanks, with an additional ₹82 crore allocated to revitalize the sewer system. This dual focus on both water supply and sanitation highlights a holistic approach to urban development. By addressing these critical infrastructure needs, the project underscores Haryana's dedication to smart urbanization and its mission to improve the quality of life for its residents. This investment represents a key step towards building a sustainable and resilient water management system for the region.
