Located on a half-acre, environmentally sensitive plot along the Gandak River, this project was commissioned to design a guest house and supporting services. Our approach focused on balancing the client’s requirements with the need to preserve the site's unique ecosystem, creating a structure that integrates seamlessly with its natural surroundings. After performing a detailed contour analysis, we identified the depressions and elevated areas of the site. This analysis was crucial in deciding our planting scheme to mitigate soil erosion and maintain the site's biodiversity. It also guided the strategic placement of cottages.
Based on both the contour and horticulture analysis, we proposed various amenities that blend with the natural landscape. These include a gazebo, seating areas nestled within the foliage, a nature trail, a kids' area, and fruit orchards.
